Biography

Paolo Grati took his Master of Engineering in Aeronautics in 1983. After some years as a sales manager in a private company producing thermo-acoustic insulation products, he moved to the composites world as Commercial Director of a leading European weaving and prepregging company. In 2006, he founded the GP Marketing Consulting Sas.

In 2014 Paolo received the Qing 2nd level certification from the "Engineer register of Milan Area" in the field of "Materials Engineering" specialization "Consultancy on development of new products in composite materials". In 2019, this recognition was extended to the National "CERT' ing Advanced Certification" according to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024 and renewed in 2022. In the last few years, he and his staff introduced new products based on nanotechnologies, fire barriers and noise-damping solutions to the EU market and the leading OEMs. He offered special assistance in the usage of recycled carbon products in automotive field and, alongside qualified partners, in 2022, he founded RECARBON Srl, an innovative start-up dedicated to the development and production of both thermoplastics and thermosets intermediate products based on recycled carbon fibres, focused on a virtuous sustainability process in the field of advanced composites.
